Maalasin viime keväänä tavalliseen kangaskassiin unikoita kangasmaaleilla. Väri kiinnitetään kankaaseen silittämällä nurjalta puolelta ainakin vuorokauden kuivumisen jälkeen.

Poppies painted on a tote bag with textile paints. First I washed (no fabric softener) and ironed bag. Then I painted the picture. After drying (at least 24 hours), I ironed it from the backside and then washed it.

Do You Have to Prime Cardboard Before Painting?

Do you really need to prime cardboard with gesso before painting? I previously made a blog post about how I prepare cardboard for painting by priming it with gesso and why you might want to do that. This time I'm testing, if you really have to prime it by showing you a comparison of painting on primed and unprimed cardboard with acrylics. Let's see if the primed vs. unprimed cardboard painting results look different or not and whether I'll be contradicting what I wrote in that post. A couple of months before my last birthday, I decided I wanted to start making speed painting videos for You T ube and asked for a tripod for my birthday. My first videos turned out to be travel diaries, because those were a lot easier to film. By now I've also made some DIY tutorial and speed art videos and I thought I'd share how I got started with those by using tools I already had or just cheap or free tools. Why should you start a You T ube channel though, if you already run a craft or art blog?
