Practising Russian Cursive Writing


When I was studying Arabic, I had the idea of someday painting Arabic calligraphy on my wall. Well, I haven't gotten there yet but I thought a postcard-sized calligraphy of a Russian proverb would be a start. So I wrote this in Russian cursive writing. A bit practice on joining Cyrillic cursive letters together (I don't know if I've done it well or not). I got the proverb from here. Loose translation: "You have to learn to walk before you can run." Literal translation: "Alphabet is the step to wisdom." And the reason for the extra piece of paper for the last word is that I first wrote студенька instead of ступенька.

Matryoshka Doll Coloring Book + Coloring Page Freebie!

I made my first printable coloring book in July with ethnic themes (African and Indian Portraits and Patterns) . This time I wanted to make one of Matryoshka dolls, which I love drawing. There's 5 designs and they're all ones I had originally drawn a few years ago, but I fixed them up and added more details. The originals are A4 size ink and marker drawings which I scanned and edited in GIMP (turned black and white, added contrast, erased mistakes), put into a word file and saved as a PDF. How to Save Leftover Acrylic Paint for Later

A quick tip on how to save acrylic paint for later! If you mix too much acrylic paint or pour too much paint out of the tube, do you know what to do with the leftover paint? If you're planning to continue painting the next day, you can't just leave it, cause acrylic paint will dry by then. You can watch the  video on how to keep acrylic paint wet  overnight and longer or keep reading. Mixed too much acrylic paint? You know how you sometimes mix too much acrylic paint or pour too much paint out of the tube? What do you do with the leftover paint?
