DIY Notebook Cover Ideas | Back to School 2016
It's been a while since I've done some mindfulness crafting by cutting up old magazines. I just find it so relaxing to to flip through old magazines, find pictures and pages I like and cut shapes out of them. So here are 3 DIY notebook cover ideas for school etc. Decorate three notebook covers by recycling old magazines into chevron patterns, diamonds and Matryoshka dolls. These DIY notebook cover ideas are suitable for kids and teenagers and why not adults too.

The materials you need are notebooks, old magazines or used wrapping paper, paper glue and scissors and contact paper. For drawing the doll faces I used colored pencils, black pen, markers, white gel pen and a metallic gold marker.
Cut the out the shapes you want from old magazines or wrapping paper. I drew the chevron shape on grid paper and used that as a stencil. You can do the same with the diamond shape, too. However, you can also download and print out the diamond and Matryoshka doll templates by signing up to my email list for free HERE. Arrange and glue the shapes on the notebook cover. For the doll ones, remember to draw on their faces. And finally, cover your notebooks with contact paper.
